Sudan, Britain restore diplomatic relations

It was announced in Khartoum on Saturday that diplomatic relations have been restored between Sudan and Britain at the "under ambassador level." An official source at the Sudanese Foreign Ministry said that the decision provides for the restoration of bilateral relations was taken during the current visit held by the secretary of the Sudanese Foreign Ministry, Hassan Abidin, to London and his meeting with the British minister of state at the British Foreign Office, Geoffrey Hoon.
