Jordanian minister highlights excellent ties with Syria

Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdul Illah al-Khatib has described Jordanian - Syrian relations as excellent.

In a meeting he has held with the Jordanian news agency, Petra, in Amman, al-Khatib said, "Jordan's main target is to have the Palestinian people's rights restored as well as to establish their own independent state on their native soil."

Concerning his country's relations with the Arab states, the Jordanian minister said these relations are at their best, stressing that Jordan supports any Arab meeting and at any level in order to restore Arab solidarity and clear the Arab climates.

About his country's regional and international relations, al-Khatib indicated the importance of his country's relations with both Turkey and Iran.
