Originally published

Head of the Sudanese opposition Democratic Unionist Party, Mohammed El-Merghany, is to arrive tomorrow in Cairo, coming from Jeddah, to meet with the Egyptian leadership to inform them on the results of the opposition's Asmara meetings.

El-Merghany Hassan, the general manager of the general center for the Democratic Unionist Party, said, "Cairo will witness bilateral meetings among the factional leaderships" and that El-Merghany will meet Sudanese People's Liberation Army leader John Garang and the leaders of the opposition Democratic National Alliance to discuss the agenda of the group's meetings to reach a joint perception before the meetings.

Hassan added that the Democratic Unionist Party is determined to change the government in Sudan by force, that the rifle is still the solution and that the party opposed any discussion with the government unless it comes through the Democratic National Alliance, otherwise anything else is absolutely refused.
