Moroccan oil drilling firm signs accord with us company

Moroccan oil drilling firm (ONAREP) signed recently here an accord with US Skidmore Energy Inc to conduct oil drilling operations in the region of Essaouira, 490 km south of Rabat.

Under the accord, the US company will assess during an eleven month period the oil potentials in the Essaouira area.

ONAREP and Skidmore Energy Inc are bound by another agreement, concluded in 1998, to conduct drilling operations in other parts of Morocco.

The US firm's activities in Morocco are estimated at more than $ 1 million.

Based in texas, Skidmore Energy Inc is operating in several countries, including Mexico, Argentina and Nigeria.
