GCC planning ministers meet in Abu Dhabi next Wednesday

Originally published

The ministers of planning and development in the Gulf Cooperation Council states are to hold their eighth meeting in Abu Dhabi next Wednesday.

The meeting comes after the leaders of the Gulf states adopted in their 19th session the two documents on the long-term comprehensive development strategy for the GCC member states and the general framework of the housing strategy of these states.

The two strategies were concluded by the ministerial committee for development and planning in their previous meetings and submitted to the GCC higher council in December 1998.

The participants in this meeting will discuss certain issues pertaining to operating and facilitating the transfer of the national labor force among the GCC member states as well as convening a scientific symposium on the status and future of joint Gulf projects.
