Tunisian foreign reserves equal $1.5 billion

A modern statistic for Tunis central bank indicated that the net foreign reserves of Tunisia amounted to 1.82 billion Tunisian dinar on May 4, in comparison to 1.69 billion dinars in the same period last year.

A press statement released by the Tunisian embassy in Cairo said this amount would cover imports for 98 days. The reserves amounted to 1.96 billion dinars at the end of December 1998 and 1.71 billion dinars at the end of late April.
