Resistance operations continue in south Lebanon
The Israeli occupation forces on Thursday escalated their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. The Israeli warplanes carried out a series of air attacks targeting the woods of Hadatha, Eita al-Jabal, Rashaf, the surrounding of al-Sarera town as well as the outskirts of Jaba' town which has been exposed to five consecutive Israeli raids.
These air raids coincided with a heavy artillery bombardment which targeted the towns of Barachit, Eita al-Jabal, Hadatha, Jabal al-Zaatar, Kafra, and Yater.
The bombardment of Hadatha town's residential areas resulted in damaging three houses, while shells were fired against five positions for the Irish contingent working within UNIFIL.
In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance carried out more than 10 operations against the Israeli and Israeli-allied militia occupation positions in Beit Yahoun, Barachit, Hadatha, Zamraya, al-Tahra, al-Sweida, Balat, Richa, al-Radar and Sujoud and direct hits were achieved.
On Thursday morning, an Israeli spokesman stated that one Israeli soldier was killed and another one was wounded in an attack launched by the Lebanese resistance on Wednesday on an Israeli patrol in the occupied part of south Lebanon.
Israel Radio said the attack took place near al-Asheyeh town. The Lebanese resistance also on Wednesday downed an Israeli Cobra helicopter in a confrontation that took place with the special unit in the Israeli army in al-Aqmata town in south Lebanon.
