Nearly one ton of cannabis seized in Morocco

The Moroccan police seized recently 975 kg of cannabis embedded in a cache at a forest near the southern Atlantic coastal city of Agadir. The drug, which was destined for exportation, was packed in several plastic bags weighing 25 kg each.

Another 10 kg of cannabis were seized last weekend by the Moroccan customs at the northern tangier port. The narcotics was concealed beneath the rear seats of a Volkswagen car belonging to two Moroccan immigrants living in France.
