Saudi Arabia, Qatar end border disputes
Saudi Arabia and Qatar endorsed last night in Riyadh maps specifying the land borders between the two states.
The two states agreed in 1996 upon ending the border dispute between them and to specify the land and sea borders in this regard.
Egypt and the Arab League welcomed the decision to specify the borders.
A statement released by the Arab League called on Gulf and Arab states to quickly end border disputes. The AL has called for defusing the border rows peacefully and for preventing escalation in these circumstances, confirming that the disputes will frustrate Arab strength.
