Abdul Meguid, UN commissioner discuss continued Israeli human rights violations

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid discussed yesterday with Mary Robinson, the UN's high commissioner for human rights, the continued Israeli violations of Arab human rights in the occupied territories.

Abdul Meguid said that coordination and cooperation between the Arab League and the High Commission for Human Rights affiliated to UN in the field of Arab human rights work to halt human rights atrocities in the occupied territories, as well as to improve the situation and rights of Palestinian and Arab workers in Israel.

Meanwhile, Abdul Meguid warned of the danger of continued Israeli violations against civilians living under occupation in the Palestinian territories, Syrian Golan and south Lebanon.
