Obstacles facing the Egyptian - European partnership
Partnership between the European Union and Egypt is facing remaining problems, which Egyptian sources expected to be solved within two or three weeks, before reaching a final agreement.
Spain and Italy have not constented yet on the final formula for trade of agricultural products, but official sources from the two sides think that the rest of the disputes could be resolved in a short time and other European countries concerns alleviated in order to obtain votes of the rest countries members in the meeting of European Union foreign ministers on June 21 in Luxembourg.
The disputes focused on Egypt's call to increase its export share among agricultural products, and Cairo is looking forward to improving the European offers and raising the orange export share from 50,000 to 60,000 tons.
