SLA militia begins leaving Jezzine
The Israeli occupation forces and the Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army militia on Thursday evacuated 21 towns and villages in the district of the southern Lebanese town of Jezzine.
News reports from south Lebanon said the evacuated areas are located between Roum town in the west and Ramla and Haithora towns in the east.
The reports said Jezzine and four neighboring villages (Ein Majdaline, Aria, Tahmin and Kafer Houneh) remained under occupation. All that is left are three military positions and a SLA military barracks in the areas.
Meanwhile, the BBC's correspondent in south Lebanon said the SLA militia tanks and armored vehicles were on Tuesday morning, seen pulling back three kilometers out of the eight they had occupied in the Jezzine area.
The secretary general of the Hizbullah Party, Hassan Nasrallah, met with the Lebanese delegation in charge of activities in Jezzine. Members of the delegation voiced all-out support for the Lebanese resistance in its struggle to liberate all south Lebanon from the Israeli occupation forces.
They said relations between Jezzine towns folk and the Lebanese resistance are old and good, stressing that the liberation of Jezzine is a step to liberating totally the whole of south Lebanon.
