UAE calls on India, Pakistan to eliminate tension

The United Arab Emirates has called upon India and Pakistan to eliminate the reasons for tension between the two countries over Jamo and Kashmir as well as to intensify bilateral negotiations along with international diplomatic efforts to settle the crisis.

The Gulf News Agency quoted a statement released by the UAE Cabinet as saying that this call stems from the "good relations" linking the UAE to the two countries and its desire to maintain regional security and stability in southeast Asia and the Indian Ocean.
