Joint Israeli-Jordanian hospital in Tel Aviv
A center for treating cancer patients from all parts of the Middle East was established at Angello Hospital in Tel Aviv bearing the name of the late Jordanian King Hussein.
Israel Radio said on Wednesday that King Abdullah Bin Hussein had sent a message to the hospital's administration in which he said that immortalizing" his father's name constitutes a new cornerstone in the cooperation existing between Israel and Jordan in the area of medicine."
Israel Radio added that Israeli Prime Minister-elect Ehud Barak has welcomed the establishment of the center, and said that this center "will help in boosting the peace process between Israel and Jordan."
