King Abdullah to visit Algeria on Monday
Jordan's King Abdullah Bin Hussein will head to Algeria on Monday to fulfill the invitation made by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to discuss regional developments, means of cooperation between the two states to combat terrorism, Arab issues and the possibility of convening an Arab summit.
Relations between Algeria and Jordan have greatly improved since the visit paid by former Algerian President Liamine Zeroual to Amman in 1997.
Commercial exchange value between the two countries reached 1.19 billion Algerian dinars ($18.3 million) in 1997.
Algerian - Tunisian relations are also witnessing a great success after the mission made by former Tunisian Prime Minister El-Hadi Albakousk and it is expected convening the Tunisian - Algerian supreme committee soon.
The committee was convening every year in one of the two capitals in alternation, but its last meeting which was scheduled for July, 1995 is still delayed due to disputes regarding implementation of an agreement for commercial exchange.
