Turkey: Lebanon is the key to Middle East peace

The Turkish daily al-Broub on Sunday quoted Turkish officials as saying that the "key to peace in the Middle East region might be Lebanon." The paper added that the Turkish officials feel that achieving a progress in Lebanon may be " conducive to several positive developments regarding Syria."

The paper also added that the Turks "also realize that the saying that as long as Israel is in disputes with the Arabs, the situation will be good for Turkey, is wrong." The paper added, "The contrary is true. The conflict between the two sides is harmful to Turkey."
