Mubarak approves construction of Aswan iron and steel complex

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak today approved the construction of the Iron and Steel Complex project in Aswan, which will be undertaken by four international companies specializing in the iron and steel industry and which has 3.2 billion Egyptian pounds in investments. The project is expected to create 17,000 jobs.
