The Lebanese resistance retaliated against Israeli attacks on towns and villages in Baalbeck, Zibqin and Khurbet Soloum and lastly in Zouter East where two Lebanese men were killed.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said early Tuesday it bombarded the Israeli towns of Kereyat Shemona, Naharia, Dourit and Shaloumil using Katyusha missiles. Direct hits were achieved.

The Lebanese resistanceonce again reiterated its readiness to deter any aggression, stressing it "will defense South Lebanon's people, cities and villages." The Lebanese resistance, meanwhile, has accused Israel of violating the April Understanding as the occupation forces fired on Monday a missile on Zouter East village in south Lebanon, which resulted in the deaths of the two Lebanese youths. The Lebanese police said that the two Lebanese youths are cousins Saddam and Saad Harb.

The Lebanese town (Zouter) on Tuesday held a huge funeral for the two martyred young men ageing (19 )and (20) in which taking part were Lebanese parliamentary, political, and religious, party and public figures.

On the other hand, Lebanon has criticized Ehud Barak's speech after winning the Israeli elections and said there was no indication of a change in policy that would lead to the Middle East peace process.

A spokesman for Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss said on Tuesday in a statement in Beirut, "There is no difference between Barak and (outgoing Israeli prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu," adding that the best proof on that is his speech after he was elected. Barak "ruled out withdrawal to the June 4, 1967 border lines," the Lebanese Premier's spokesman said.

He added, "And his (Barak's ) promises to withdraw from south Lebanon are only words because withdrawal takes place when Israel accepts unconditional pullout according to the set conditions of UN resolution 425."

He continued " Anything outside this framework is just a maneuver."
