Shas party announces support for Netanyahu

Originally published

The Shas Party, the third-largest political party in Israel, announced its support for the reelection of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the elections that will be held on Monday.

The Shas Party represents the elements of religious movement among eastern Jews, and its support comes after a great drop in Netanyahu's popularity according to opinion polls that Netanyahu described as inaccurate.

Netanyahu expressed his belief that religious voters or voters of Russian origin hide their real electoral intentions.

On the other side, Netanyahu accused his chief opponent in the elections, Labor Party nominee Ehud Bark, as seeking to win this post with dirty money.

Then Netanyahu criticized the Israeli media, accusing them of being subjected to leftists affiliated to the Labor Party.
