Cairo: Releasing Egyptian fundamentalist
For the first time, the Egyptian judicial authorities have released Egyptian fundamentalist Mohammed Ebid Abd Elaal whom the Ecuadorian authorities delivered recently to Cairo at Cairo's request.
The lawyer for the Egyptian Islamic movements, Muntaser El-Zyatt, said this is considered a good and useful step encouraging trust in Egyptian jurisdiction by issuing the order to detain Mohammed Ebid, which is a usual matter in such cases.
The Egyptian authorities accused Ebid of joining an illegal movement aimed at topping the regime in Egypt and of being involved in a number of bombings and assassination attempts that targeted Egyptian politicians and foreign tourists.
