Lebanese security sources said on Thursday that at 8 a.m. Israeli war planes raided Ansar district, located between Zibqin and Yater towns and fired several air-surface missiles on the area.

The sources added that the Israeli occupation artillery bombarded the area located between Majdal Soloum and Shaqra, using heavy shelling. The Lebanese sources said that since early morning Thursday the Israeli artillery bombarded the outskirts of al-Sawanneh town, al-Qayseh valley, the surroundings of Zibqin and Yater towns, al-Hamra farm and the outskirts of Zouter East and Zouter West.

The Israeli occupation forces carried out mopping-up operations, using heavy artillery, on Majdal Zoun and al-Mansouri.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces bombarded the residential areas in Arab Salim town in the al-Tuffah district. News reports from south Lebanon said the occupation artillery on Thursday morning bombarded the southern parts of Arab Salim town and that the bombardment resulted in damage to the house of Lebanese citizen Hussein Saleh.

In the western Bekaa, some 20 Israeli shells were dropped on Mashghara hills, Ein al-Tineh, al-Sarira and Abi Rashed hills.

Meanwhile, sources in UNIFIL denied reports that any shelling has passed the international borders upon the bombardment made by the Lebanese resistance to al-Abbad and Ramya positions to the depths of the occupied region of south Lebanon, near the Lebanese-Palestinian borders.

Earlier, the Israeli occupation radio said that several mortars and missiles were fired from south Lebanon and fell in the Palestinian territories, causing no injuries or damage.

In this regard in a statement he made on Thursday, Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss decried the daily Israeli aggressions against Lebanon and the Lebanese people. "We are, people and government standing steadfast against these Israeli aggressions," he said.

The Lebanese premier said Lebanon is making the necessary contacts to prevent Israel from continuing its aggressions.
