Jordanian trade union councils and normalization with Israel

The Jordanian weekly al-Majd said that the bar association, and engineers and agronomists unions in Jordan have decided to set up committees to investigate several members of these trade unions under charges of taking part in a reception held by the Israeli embassy in Amman.

Jordanian trade union sources said the invitation committees will summon their members who were said to have participated in the reception. In case that the members proved to have participated in the reception they will be dismissed from the unions.
