Speaker of Moroccan Parliament in Brussels for Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Forum

Abdelouahed Radi, speaker of the Moroccan house of representatives (lower chamber of the parliament), is expected in Brussels on Thursday to co-chair the Euro-Mediterranean inter-parliamentary forum.

According to an official source at the European parliament, law makers from 27 European and Mediterranean countries will examine the internal statute of the forum and decide on the venue of the next meeting.

In October 1998, Radi was elected co-chairman of the forum to represent the 12 non-European Mediterranean countries.
