Morocco officially bids to host world cup 2006
Morocco has officially made its bid to host the 2006 World Cup, sources from the Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced.
The FRMF source said the Moroccan government confirmed readiness to respect the FIFA terms for hosting the World Cup.
Morocco, which had failed to host the world competition in 1994 (USA) and 1998 (France), becomes the second country to officially bid for the 2006 world cup after Germany.
South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Brazil and England are expected to follow suit.
