Originally published

Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Abdul Hadi al-Majah, has asserted the backing and support of the parliament for all initiatives and moves carried out by Jordan's King Abdullah Bin Hussein in the Arab and international arenas in his efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region and on all tracks to restore all Arab rights in Palestine, the Golan and Lebanon, as well as support for the Palestinian people for self-determination and the establishment of their own independent state on their own native soil with Jerusalem as a capital.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday in Amman, al-Majali stressed that the Jordanian parliament strongly backs the active political shuttle moves by King Abdullah to strengthen Jordan's relations with the Arab states and to take part in the process of restoring solidarity and reconciliation among "our Arab brothers."

The statement expressed the satisfaction of the Jordanian Parliament over the results of the several visits held by the Jordanian king to several Arab states, noting that these "fruitful results will be positively reflected on the Jordanian national interests and pan-Arab national interests."
