Turkish forces besiege the Kurds

Turkish land forces supported by jets and helicopters resumed expanded attacks against the Kurdish area in northern Iraq.

At the same time, the Turkish authorities said they frustrated a suicide bomb attack planned by two Kurds in two cities in western and southern Turkey.

The Turkish forces imposed a siege on camps and sites that are affiliated to the prohibited Kurdish Workers Party in two areas of northern Iraq.

The sources said, "The goal of the Turkish Army's operations is destroying the Kurdish party's bases."
