Israel to minimize military presence in south Lebanon
In a statement to the Israeli Radio on Monday, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Arens denied any connection between minimizing the Israeli military presence in south Lebanon and the Israeli election campaign. He refused any criticism of his plan by the army in this regard. Arens said the Israeli army is currently embarking on studying the possibility of minimizing Israel's presence in the security zone of south Lebanon, according to his own request.
