Saudi - Yemeni special arrangements for border demarcation

The Saudi-Yemeni committee on border demarcation on Monday resumed its work in Sanaa under the chairmanship of Muhammad Abdul Malik al-Alafi, chairman of Yemen's area department and chairman of the Yemeni side and Lt. Gen. Hassan al-Shahrani, director of the Saudi military area department, and chairman of the Saudi side to the committee who arrived in Sanaa earlier in the day.

Al-Shahrami said the committee's meeting comes at the directive of the political leadership in the two states as special arrangements to complete a mission which should have been completed earlier.

He noted obstacles that impeded the implementation of the committee's tasks, noting that, "The wisdom shown by the two countries' leaders recommended the convening of the meeting and adopting measures for achieving positive results."
