Western doctors send medical aid to Iraq
The faculty of medicine at Baghdad University on Monday received boxes and containers of medical supplies and antibiotics at a cost of US $28,000.
The medicine was sent by a delegation comprising some 25 doctors and physicians who arrived from the US, Canada and Britain.
In a statement, the Western medical team called for ending the embargo imposed on the medical knowledge in Iraq.
A member of the delegation, Canadian psychologist Allan Connoly, asserted the deterioration in the conditions of treating mentally-ill patients. He noted difficult working conditions which face Iraqi doctors.
