Yemeni embassy in Kuwait to open in the coming days
Yemeni diplomatic sources stated that Yemeni Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdul Qader Bajamal will pay his first official visit to Kuwait to fulfill the invitation made by his Kuwait counterpart, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah.
The sources said that Bajamal will reopen the Yemeni embassy in Kuwait during his visit. The embassy was closed after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990.
The diplomatic sources said reopening the Yemeni embassy in Kuwait will create a foundation for a new stage in relations between the two states, which witnessed a major crisis since the Gulf War and will open horizons for deepening cooperation in political, cultural and economic fields.
The Kuwaiti embassy in Sanaa was not closed since the Gulf War, where the charge d'affairs, Masour al-Awadi, runs its activities.
