Iraq calls for solidarity with Yugoslavia

Iraq called for solidarity with Yugoslavia and called on Russia to react to the attacks of NATO against Belgrade by removing the sanctions imposed on Iraq.

Meanwhile, the ruling El-Baath party said that Iraq's resistance to the USA gave a good example to Belgrade in its current crisis.

Moreover, the Iraqi newspaper "Ab" said there is a good opportunity in front of Russian leadership to launch a strong strike against the US administration by lifting the sanctions from Iraq, especially as Washington did not consult the Security Council before shelling Yugoslavia.

The Iraqi newspaper added that Russia is the heir of the Soviet Union and it is still a great power in the international arena.
