Palestinian AL delegate hails European stand on proclaiming Palestinian state
The Palestinian deputy in the Arab League, Mohammed Sobieh, hailed the announcement of the European Union concerning the establishment of the Palestinian state, describing it as farsighted stand agreeing with the decisions of the international community.
He clarified that the new policy of the European union confirms that peace in the Middle East forms a security and strategic necessity to Europe.
Concerning the United States' refusal to recognize Palestine in case of proclaiming it before the end of the negotiations of the final status, Sobieh said the US will lose its credibility as the peace process's sponsor.
Meanwhile, Sobieh hailed the Arab position, which he describes as a clear, strong and firm stand.
