Epidemics hit Sudan

The minister of state at the Sudanese Ministry of Health, Dr. Thomas Abwal, has announced that total deaths as a result of the epidemics which have hit the Upper Nile province during the three past weeks reached 141 and that the epidemics include diarrhea and malaria.

In a statement he made in al-Khartoum on Wednesday, the Sudanese minister added that his ministry took all measures and preparations and sent medical teams to treat the victims and to halt the spread of the epidemics into other Sudanese provinces.
