Yemeni delegation describes Morocco's political experience as unique in the Arab states
A delegation from the Yemeni Socialist Party (opposition) which is currently on a visit to Morocco has described the political experience where the opposition gained control of the government in Morocco as unique in the Arab world.
The delegation held separate meetings with members of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP/in the government) and of the leftist Organization for Democratic and Popular Action (OADP). Talks covered the evolution of the democratic process in Morocco, reported the USFP daily "Al-Ittihad Al-Ichtiraki."
The delegation's members were highly interested by the alternation experience in Morocco, the daily said.
The delegation was also received by Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi, who is also first secretary of the USFP.
Youssoufi is leading a left-center coalition Cabinet that was appointed in March 1998 after decades of right-wing rule.
