Qatari emir visits Jordan today

Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani is to arrive in Amman today for a three-day official visit, during which he is to hold talks with Jordan's King Abdullah on the Arab situation, bilateral relations and means of upgrading them.

Jordanian official sources said the latest developments in the Arab arena are also to be discussed in the Qatari - Jordanian talks.

The sources said that within the framework of his visit to Jordan, the Qatari emir would hold a private visit to the Jordanian coastal city of Aqaba, on which King Abdullah will accompany him.

The head of the Royal Jordanian Divan, Abd El-Karim El-Kabarti announced that King Abdullah and Queen Rania are going to receive the Qatari emir upon his arrival.
