King Abdullah: We will defend our nation's causes, No country is to intervene in our internal affairs
Following 40 days since the late monarch King Hussein Bin Talal's death, his son, Jordanian King Abdullah directed a message to the Jordanian people and the Arab nation, in which he confirmed that Jordan will still be a non-partial part of the Arab nation as it was always before, defending its just issues and seeking to unify its words and its stands.
King Abdullah added: "We will continue enhancing and promoting the Palestinian people" until they are able to have their rights and proclaim a state in their homeland and so a permanent and comprehensive peace is achieved for all people of the region. He referred to his hope that the sanctions imparted on Iraq, Libya and Sudan would be lifted soon, saying that no county is allowed to interfere in Jordan's or any other country's internal affairs.
A royal decree was issued to appoint former Jordanian Prime Minister Fayez Tarawneh and the former head of the Royal Divan, Jawad al-Anani as two members of the council of nobles.
