Collective funeral for Iraqi children

A funeral was held in Baghdad on Monday for 27 children who died in hospitals as a result of the shortage of medicine and health services as a result of the sanctions imposed on Iraq.

The participants in the funeral, who chanted slogans criticizing the US, handed a message to the representative of the UNDP in Baghdad addressed to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, calling for rapid and effective moves to halt the continued US and British attacks against Iraq and to lift the embargo imposed on the Iraqi people.
