Israeli government ratifies decision on occupied Jerusalem
The Israeli Cabinet on Sunday during its weekly session ratified a draft project providing for keeping Jerusalem under Israeli control as the capital of Israel, "which will remain forever under the exclusive sovereignty of Israel."
The Israeli decision stated that Israel will not, under any condition, accept the partition of the city of Jerusalem nor to internationalize it partially or totally, thereby Israel is refusing the message addressed by the current president of the European Union, Germany, which asserted that Jerusalem is not subjugated to the Israeli supremacy.
On Saturday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Ariel Sharon gave instructions to the Israeli consulates and embassies abroad to launch a large-scale promotion campaign to support "Israel's claims" that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel and is under the Israeli sovereignty, Israel Radio reported.
