Originally published

The Tunisian government issued yesterday a new law adjusting the investment law of 1993 to encourage local and the foreign private sectors to invest in development, by extending the period in which companies can benefit from state supported social insurance for employees.

A press statement released by the Tunisian embassy in Cairo stated that the new law allows for extending the period in which the state pays fees for social insurance for the companies that export their entire production for ten years, instead of five years as specified by the old law, on the condition that these companies were established before 1993 in addition to support that reaches 25% of the state's budget for these projects from the fund for covering capital risks supported by the government.
