Hariri replaces Beirut airport with Damascus airport in his flights
The Beirut office of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri said that he decided not to use the Beirut airport from now on and to replace it by the Damascus airport after his private cars were prevented from reaching the stairs of his private plane.
A statement released by Hariri's press office said that his office was informed that if the "former official wants to travel via Beirut airport he has to head for the plane walking and will not be permitted to be taken to the plane in his car."
The statements added that following this decision Hariri decided to travel from Damascus airport in the same way he has been used to for 18 years from all parts of the world, including the Beirut International Airport, and that he used the same way in his travels before and after he has become a prime minister.
