Gulf coordination before meetings of the Arab foreign ministers
The Gulf Cooperation Council countries' foreign ministers will convene a meeting on Sunday in Riyadh to discuss many issues, like the Gulf - Iranian relations and Iran's occupation of three Gulf islands under dispute with the United Arab Emirates in addition to the Iraqi file, the peace process in the Middle East, economic cooperation among the GCC states and environmental issues.
The secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jamil al-Hujeilan will present a report to the ministers about the issue of the three islands, after being authorized by the ministerial council in its urgent meeting in Abu Dhabi last Thursday.
The importance of Sunday's meeting comes as it is being held before the Arab League ministerial council meets in Cairo on March 17 and 18, especially because the Iraq issue will be among the most prominent topics at the AL meeting.
