Morocco and the USA will devise a program to boost their bilateral cooperation and protect their joint interests, the U.S ambassador to Morocco said.

The program, based on the respect of the interests of the two countries, will give new impetus to cooperation, bearing in mind Morocco's evolution and democratic development, Edward Gabriel told the Moroccan second television channel, 2M.

The program will put a special emphasis on investments in the fields of commerce and social development as well as the exchange of expertise in military and teaching fields and the promotion of democracy and human rights, he added.

Touching on the planned visit of Hillary R. Clinton, spouse of U.S President Bill Clinton, to Morocco, the diplomat said the first lady will most likely visit Morocco at the end of March. He added that a team in charge of preparing for the visit is already in Morocco.

First Lady Clinton will pay a private visit to Morocco during which she will go to the imperial cities of Fez and Marrakesh, MAP reported.

President Clinton had said in a recent message to King Hassan II that his spouse entrusted him with telling the king that she rejoices at the prospect of meeting the king during the month of March.
