Palestinian police try to ease the situation in Gaza
Deputy chairman of protective security body of Palestine in Gaza strip, Colonel Rashid Abu Shabak, headed a meeting with reporters to clarify the situation following the killing of a captain in the Palestinian protective security forces during February.
Three youths were accused of the killing and are currently being tried before the Palestinian High State Security Court. The judgment will be issued on Wednesday.
It was made clear that Colonel Abu Shabak is trying to ease the situation in the Gaza Strip, specifically in the Rafah region, which was the theater of events leading to the killing of Captain Refaat Gouda at the beginning of last February.
He warned that some sides are trying to affect the decision of the court, which has held several sessions through the last two weeks and heard testimony from both witnesses and the suspects, as well as the arguments of the general attorney who called for executing the suspects.
