Iraq urges Arab states to pressure Kuwait, Saudi Arabia
The Iraqi daily al-Thawra on Friday called upon the Arab states to pressure the Saudis and the Kuwaitis, whom Iraq accuses of working to guarantee continued US and British raids against Iraq from their territories.
The paper, the mouthpiece of the Iraqi ruling Baath Party, added that what is equal to the US aggression of significance, is that the rulers of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait ensure a base for the aggression and financial and logistic backing that guarantees the continuity and escalation of the aggression.
The Iraqi paper denounce the absence of a real national initiative in order to condemn the aggression and pressure the rulers of Riyadh and Kuwait to give up their "historical mistake," in supporting enemies of the Arab nation.
