An Egyptian diplomatic delegation under the chairmanship of Salah El-Ashri, the Egyptian deputy assistant foreign minister for regional economic cooperation, left Cairo this morning for Dakar to participate in the preparatory meetings for the second summit for the Group of Eight Islamic Developing Countries (G8) that will start in Dakar on March 1 and last for two days.

El-Ashri said before leaving Cairo that these meetings aim at preparing the summit's agenda in addition to preparing economic projects to be implemented among the groups' member states, such as a company for marketing the countries' exports and linking the participating countries through a unified industrial database.
