Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday renewed their attacks on areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said that Israeli artillery positioned in Wade al-Ayeshe and al-Shaqeif castle bombarded the Lebanese Army's deserted barracks in al-Nabatayeh, al-Fouka town, al-Hamra farm, the outskirts of Habboush town, Hadatha and al-Zahrani river course.

The bombardment also targeted the heights of al-Qatrani, Zelaya, Qelya, al-Dallafah, Maidoun, Wadi al-Nafkha and Litani river course.

Meanwhile, Israeli naval forces continued the siege of the southern Lebanese coasts, extending from al-Sarafand port to the Ras al-Aswad area south of Tyre.

Lebanese security sources said that an Israeli gunboat approached al-Mansouri coast and opened random fire on the region.

In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance on Wednesday attacked positions held by Israeli forces and their South Lebanon Army militia allies in al-Debshe, and al-Shaqeif castle, using machine guns and rockets. In a statement, the resistance said direct hits were achieved and some of the positions' fortifications were destroyed.

Meantime, the Israeli warplanes flew in the airspace of al-Nabatieh and the al-Tuffah district to Sidon at low altitudes, carrying out mock and provocative raids.
