Israeli campaign for retaking alleged Jewish properties in eight Arab states
Lebanese sources warned yesterday of Israel's intention to participate in the campaigns of Jewish organizations to retake Jewish-owned properties in some Arab states.
The sources stated that the Jewish organizations estimate the value of these properties in the tens of millions of dollars and that the campaign targets Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, Algeria, Lebanon and Iran.
The campaign aims at providing Israel with documents about these alleged properties to confront the Arab demands for compensations for the lands occupied by the Jews during final status negotiations.
