Iranian - Kuwaiti intensive talks

Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah al-Sabah will head soon to Tehran.

Iranian official sources and Gulf diplomatic sources said the Kuwaiti crown prince is to pay an official visit to Iran at the beginning of March, before an official visit to be paid by Iranian President Mohammad Khatami to Italy and the Vatican on March 8.

Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah's visit will fulfill an official invitation from Iran's first vice president, Hassan Habibi.

The Kuwaiti official will with former President Akbar Hashimi Rafsanjani. It is not yet certain whether he will meet with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei, but the Iranian sources considered it likely.
