Al-Sharaa to visit Moscow on February 16

Moscow said on Thursday that Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa will pay a working visit to Russia on February 16 and 17.

This announcement was made by the official spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Vladimir Rahmanin, during a press conference he held on Thursday. Rahmanin added that al-Sharaa's talks with the Russian officials will deal with international issues and bilateral relations between Russia and Syria.

Rahmanin asserted that special interest will be given to the development of conditions in the Middle East and the peace process, especially the current stalemate in the Middle East peace process on both the Syrian and Lebanese tracks.
