Egyptian petroleum minister and head of Suez Canal organization start Qatar visit tomorrow

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Hamdi El-Banbi and Lieutenant General Ahmed Fadel, head of the Suez Canal organization, are to start a four-day official visit to Qatar on Friday at the invitation of Qatari Minister of Energy, Industry, Electricity and Water Abdullah Hamad al-Ateia.

Egyptian diplomatic sources stated that Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani will receive El-Banbi, Fadel and their escorting delegation on Saturday morning in his office in the Royal Diwan and on the same day Egyptian - Qatari discussions will start that will focus on activating cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, petroleum, gas and transferring Qatari gas to Europe through the Suez Canal.
